Heist

Been working on a Heist game with the Tuesday gang for a while now. It started out as a board style game but that lost steam pretty fast, but I have been working on a pen and paper style version of it and it is coming along better then I thought.

Thinking about 3 basic types of robberies:

Intelligent: This is the guy who plans everything down to a T, add in some computer support like making the traffic lights go in your favor.

Charisma:This guy like me knows guys who can get things done. Gonna drop in an "Out of Sight" reference here, walking into a bank with a envelop and telling the tellar that you have a bomb in your hand takes some charisma.

Violence: Now every bank robber needs a tiny bit of this but the true violent robbers, run into a bank shoot a few times in air and maybe a knee cap or six

Now I am thinking that those three qualities can be the "stats" that you need to increase in order to commit better and better robberies.

Some downsides to the qualities

Intelligence:

You are so smart that your plans start to get abstract and you can lose track of the simple things and the simple things can pull the thread and your plans.

All your brains makes you look like a nerd, so your underlings might think they can be the big man in charge and take you out.

Charisma:

You become very very memorable, all eyes focus on your amazing voice or soothing personality and all fingers point to you in a line up.

Relying on just charisma you have to play your team against each other. Telling everyone that they are Riker to your Picard. When they find out....

Violent:

Each murder you do, each innocent you shoot and laugh at, will get you more news coverage and more Law enforcement coverage. You aren't just someone they need to stop becuase banks are getting robbed. You are the guy that shot some ones parents or child and they WILL catch you.

Simple. Your team is scared of you, and when people are afraid they react badly.

The idea would be to try and balance the qualities, so you can last longer and get more cash. Or hope that you can max out one and survive long enough to get out of the game.

Thinking of starting out small then get bigger...like most things do

Rob a person

Rob a 7/11

Rob a local bank (small)

Rob a Metro Bank (large)

Rob a casino (huge)

Thinking of adding in a "suggested" cool down timer for each place. Otherwise you might become predictable and get caught easier...I don't know. The game gets kinda fuzzy here because I don't know how to play it. Will it be co-op with the other players? Maybe everyone v everyone and each level you gain allows you more crew. Could be a mix of both. Need to get some type of dice rolling thing in to let you know if you can do something or not.

Maybe right from the start you get some cash to buy things with such as: a crew member, a gun, some surveillance equipment. Thats it for now.
